A guide for new Religious Studies students

Welcome to Webster University!

The staff of the Webster U. Library supports students, faculty, and staff at all of Webster's worldwide campuses and through its online programs. We welcome your questions and look forward to working with you. Please contact us if you have questions or need assistance.

About this guide:

In this guide, new majors in Religious Studies can find basic information on the Webster U. Library's resources and services that will be especially helpful as students go through the program. Click the "Course Guides" tab at the left to find guides for specific courses. The "Individual Religions" tab offers additional resources on selected world religions. The Department Guides tab links you to helpful materials especially prepared for students by the Religious Studies Department.

The "Borrowing Materials" tab links you to information on obtaining materials through the library. While we are increasing the number of ebooks and online journals available to our online users, there will still be resources that we have only on our shelves or that we need to obtain from another library. We can usually get journal articles for you in a few days at no charge to you.

The "Writing & Citing" tab links you to information about citation and plagiarism prevention. Be sure to contact the Writing Center for assistance with your assignments, whether you are here in St. Louis, at one of Webster's worldwide campuses, or in any of our online programs.

As questions come up, consult the subject librarian (below left). Further down contact information for the library's research desk is provided.
