Competitive research grants are available for disciplinary-based research, research of teaching and learning, and creative and artistic projects. Proposals from full-time faculty are solicited annually and reviewed by a faculty committee. The grants are administered by the Office of Academic Affairs.
In recognition of the contribution of adjunct faculty to Webster’s teaching excellence, this fund supports professional development, professional travel, and research activities for eligible faculty members. Administered by the Office of Academic Affairs, this program supports undergraduate students who are conducting scholarly, artistic, and other research projects with the guidance of a faculty member. Undergraduate students from all schools, campuses, and majors are eligible to apply.
Administered by Global Program Development, a unit of the Division of Global Education, the Sverdrup Fellowship provides opportunities for full-time and adjunct faculty members at all Webster campuses to teach at a Webster international campus. Applications are accepted two times each year.
The Messing Award provides support for a full-time faculty member to internationalize curriculum by funding international travel and related expenses. Proposals are accepted annually, selection is made by a faculty committee, and the program is managed by the Office of Academic Affairs.
Faculty Fellows work on special projects in partnership with Academic Affairs’ centers, offices and divisions. Proposals are accepted annually, and the program is managed by the Faculty Development Center.
