Doing research on other countries

National Libraries often have helpful online collections of pictures to help with your research. Googling "country name national library" will find you these sites. Also, searching in the library's catalog or databases for the terms you're interested in and adding the country name is a good strategy. Below are some helpful books and websites.

Europeana - search engine for European culture
This site is gives you access to millions of books, paintings, films, museum objects and archival records that have been digitized throughout Europe.
Latin American Network Information Center
Lists helpful sites for Latin American countries, including national libraries and museums.

A presentation of folk costumes from around the world, region by region, along with discussions of how social history, climate, dictates of religion and other factors have affected how people dress and how their costumes have been adapted over the years.
