New Student Guide to Webster University Library

Electronic Books and other Online Library Materials

In order to serve our users worldwide, the library acquires most items in electronic format. We have over 500,000 eBooks, 100,000 streaming videos, and 44,000 streaming music titles immediately available to all of our students*.

*Occasionally there are restrictions on the number of people who can use a resource at one time and an item is temporarily unavailable.

About eBooks

eBooks or electronic books, are books that have print counterparts but are made available in electronic form.

You can search for ebooks from the main page of the library (https://library.webster.edu/). Just select the 'eBooks' tab in the Search Publications & Research box and enter your terms.

In the catalog record, there will be a link that indicates that Webster owns this ebook (a line that says a link that says "Webster-Eden: Click here to access this online book" ). You will need to type in your last name and I.D. number to access the book.

Information about searching for and using our eBooks is found on this page: http://library.webster.edu/ebooks

eBooks cannot be requested through MOBIUS or Interlibrary Loan.  If an eBook is not part of the Webster Library Collection, we do not have access to it.
